Relationship Status withÉ

I have a father named Casper, a mother I call Ōmama,Ķ and two sisters named Betsie and Nollie.  I also have a brother named Willem, who is now married to Tine.  Nollie, my younger sister, is married to Flip van Woerden.  I am a watchmaker/repairer in my families watch shop, Ten Boom.  I also help to hide Jews in my house, so that the Nazi soldiers do not take them to extermination camps. I enjoy riding my bike to go visit my aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  On Mondays, I love to take the train to the Naval Observatory in Amsterdam with father so he can set his watches.  Being a Catholic has made me who I am.  Father reads the Bible to Betsie and I every night.  I was raised in a Dutch Reform Church, and Willem is an ordained minister.  Since I am a Catholic, I am able to hid desperate Jews in my house so they donÕt get taken away.  I am glad that I am able to help people in need, which my faith helps me do.  I have one special cat named Maher Shalal Hashbaz.  I love cuddling with him at night because he makes me safe, and he reminds of my mom who passed away. IÕm single and looking for someone with a great personality and strong faith.

Thank you dear Nollie and Willem. It is going to be a small part of my room, making it even smaller than it already is!

CHAT ROOM:

Me: Have you been up to the new hiding room for the Jews?

Betsie:  Yes! I canÕt believe how fast it took!  How many Jews can it hold?

Me: I know right!  It fits about 10 comfortably.

Betsie: Great!  Is father already off to Amsterdam to set the clocks?

Me: Yes, he left about 30 minutes ago.  Shall we go visit Nollie and the children today?

Betsie: Sounds like a plan! Are there enough ration cards for the Jews today, or should I make some stew before I leave?

Me: There are just enough left- new ones come tomorrow!

Betsie: ThatÕs good! Well Corrie, letÕs meet at the front of the Beje in ten minutes to go to NollieÕs.

Me: Sounds like a plan!  See you then dear sister.

Betsie: See you then Corrie.
